FARMER AND THE SHEPHERD
The Farmer and the Shepherd
by Ronald McCants
The Farmer and The Shepherd highlights the greater nature of man: anger, revenge, and feelings of alienation. Set in West Virginia where coal mining is the only source of employment. Henry, a father slowly dying from black lung, and his son Mann grapple with the momentously changing cultural landscape in America during the economic recession and the terrible impact it has having on their family and lives which drives Mann into a desperate act.
